Scotton Tree Care is run by Ian Lythe and Kevin Davison, both qualified professionals highly skilled in all aspects of tree and hedge work.
We attended Askham Bryan College York and qualified with a NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN URBAN FORESTRY. It was a 3-year course. The 1st year was at college, 2nd year work placement and 3rd back to college. We worked for different companies for the following year, to get the experience we needed to start our own business. In June 2004 we set up Scotton Tree Care.
We have been building our business ever since and have gradually bought the tools and equipment needed to carry out all aspects of tree and hedge work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. We are fully insured and are licensed with the Environmental Agency to carry and dispose of garden waste legally. Each year we have had more work than the last. A number of customers ask us to return to do work on a yearly basis.
We have built up a good local reputation, concentrating on business in Harrogate, Knaresborough, and surrounding villages. We prefer to be local as the traveling time is less which means we can offer a more reliable, cost-effective service. We have had a lot of praise from our customers which means they are happy to recommend us to their friends and families. We find word of mouth is our best form of advertising.
